How To Aquascape the Tank
) Turn off any equipment that may be running.
) Remove any pieces of equipment that could get in the way.
) Siphon out and save about 1/2 the saltwater in the tank and set it aside. The reason for this is that when you start placing stuff to the aquarium, the water level will rise, and, it is much easier to work in the tank with less water rather than it being full to the top.
) Put the substrate, rocks, and/or other items you have planned for into the aquarium (including adding the saltwater) in whatever order you choose. Now arrange everything in the tank the way you want it.
) Top-off the water level to fill the tank if needed, replace and/or turn on all the equipment and start up the system.
) Make adjustments to the water temperature and salinity if needed.
) Make a fill-to-line by using an indelible marker or whatever will work to mark a spot somewhere on an outside tank wall. By doing this it will give you an easy reference point in the future when water is added to the aquarium.
