Here's What Was Added to Our Reef Tank

  • 11/02/2007: 1 3" Purple Clam (Tridacna crocea), and 12 tiny Blue-Legged Hermit Crabs.
  • 11/08/2007: 1 large colony of brown and green Mushroom Corals, 1 nice sized colony of Green Star Polyps, 1 large SPS Hydnophora sp. Coral, 6 Mexican Turbo Snails, 6 Black Margarita Snails, and 6 Scarlet Hermit Crabs.
  • 11/12/2007: 1 purplish-pink Condylactus sp. Anemone.
  • The First Algae Appears
Looking at the back side walls and on top of the sand at the left side of the aquarium, you can see where the first green algae started to develop. This is normal, and something that typically occurs in most any aquarium shortly after the cycling process has run its course.
