Small Gobies are some of the most colorful, entertaining fish in an aquarium. Most Small Gobies are great little reef safe fish, however some species may eat small ornamental crustaceans. Not aggressive in nature, they will consume algae, Amphipods and Copepods.
Keep this fish singly, unless the tank is very large, or in mated pairs. This fish is very timid and will not come out of hiding unless it feels secure. The Firefish is also known to leap from a tank when startled, so a covered tank is best. See more about the Firefish Goby (Nemateleotris magnifica).
Thinking about adding a Firefish to your tank? See the Saltwater Aquarium Fish Compatibility Chart first.
