Looking for a great little tank for a single Percula Clownfish (Nemo), some invertebrates or a collection of corals? This could be the ticket for you.

Measuring just 12" X 12" X 12", this 7.5g tank can be used as a mini reef tank, or a "Nemo Tank" for the kids, your office desk or a slice of the ocean on your sofa end table.

A simple DIY Under Gravel Filter is one option for the Biological Filter. Choosing a Filtration System will help you to choose another filtration system.

What you need:

  • 1/8" Single Strength Glass
    • 3 pieces 12" X 12"
    • 2 pieces 12" X 11 3/4" 1/8"
  • Silicone caulking
  • 1/2" PVC
    • 4 pieces 11 1/2"
    • 1 piece 8"
  • Egg Crate
    • 1 piece 12" X 12"
  • Plastic Fly Screen
    • 1 piece 12" X 12"
  • Substrate
    • 2 Qt. Sand or Crushed Coral
  • 1 Airstone
  • 1 Air Pump
  • 1/8" Air hose
    • Sufficient length to reach from the air pump to the tank.
  • DIY Tank Hood
Now that you have all of your materials together, you are ready to proceed.
