Once you have everything ready to go, here's how to assemble and put your new DIY aquarium stand together:

    1) Decide where you are going to place the aquarium.

    2) Measure the width of your tank.

    3) Leaving ample room away from any walls next to the aquarium, lightly mark the length and width measurements of the tank on the floor where you are going to place the stand. The easiest way to to this is to take the cut plywood support board, lay it on the floor in position, and outline the four corners to about three inches inward.

    4) Using the two outside marked lines, position two cinder blocks on the floor between these marks.

    5) Stack the remaining blocks on top of the bottom blocks already set in place.

    6) Evenly spacing them out, place the 3 - 2 x 4's on top of the stacked blocks.

    7) Place the plywood support board on top of the 2 x 4's.

    8) Place your aquarium on top of the plywood support board.

    9) Fill the aquarium, and start it up.

That's it! With just a few basic wood-working skills and inexpensive materials, you have made your own DIY aquarium stand.
