Introduction

Oak Cabinet & Canopy

Stan & Debbie Hauter
This DIY Oak Aquarium Canopy is simple in design, easy to build and was created as a matching companion to the DIY Oak Aquarium Cabinet.

This canopy was created for 48" X 18" aquariums, but it can be altered for any size tank.

Consealed hinges (and no door pulls) were used for a clean look and to match the clean appearance of the DIY Oak Aquarium Cabinet. The back of this canopy was left open in order to help vent heat created by the tank lighting.

The photo below shows 2 types of Oak plywood which can be used.

See Oak Canopy Hints, Notes & Comments for important information and money saving tips.
