To 8".

Distribution:

Indo-Pacific area.

Diet:

This Butterflyfish is a consummate coral picker. Unless you are fortunate enough to find a young Reticulated Butterflyfish, it is extremely difficult to wean it onto tank fed foods. Offer a young fish Mysis Shrimp or Brine Shrimp to begin with, then other meaty foods (fish, shellfish and crustacean) as time goes on

Reef Tank Suitability:

The Reticulated Butterfyfish's sole food in the wild is corals. In a reef tank it will continue to eat your corals, therefore it is not compatible with a reef tank.

Characteristics & Compatibility:

This fish is recommended only for very experienced aquarists. It is extremely difficult to get this fish to eat in captivity.
