Ecsenius bimaculatus.

Other Common Names:

Two Spot Blenny.

Identification:

This is a small Blenny with large eyes and a small mouth. A black band covers the top half of the eyes and body helping them in blend into their surroundings. They receive their name from the two prominent black spots on their stomach area.

Distribution:

Indo-Pacific.

Maximum Size:

To 1 1/2".

Reef Tank Safe:

Yes.

Diet & Feeding:

This fish is an herbivore and should be fed vegetable matter, including foods containing marine and blue-green algae. It will also feed on algae growing in the aquarium.

Characteristics & Compatibility:

This is a peaceful, reef tank safe fish which requires lots of rocks to perch on and hide behind and under.
