Definition of the word "aqueous"

Definition: a·que·ous - adjective > Relating to, containing, or dissolved in water; watery.

The word aqueous means pertaining to, related to, similar to, or dissolved in water. The world's oceans consist of salt (NaCl) and other trace elements dissolved in water (H2O).
