Definition:
cal·ci·um- noun Element Symbol - Ca > 1.) A silvery metallic element that occurs in bone, shells, limestone, and gypsum and forms compounds used to make plaster, quicklime, cement, and metallurgic and electronic materials. 2.) An element in saltwater aquaria that is a required supplement for corals, crustaceous and calcareous marine life in reef tanks most often added in the form of a kalkwasser/limewater solution made from calcium hydroxide.
