I had recently installed a 66 gallon fish-only tank using only Hiatt Distributors RN (Right Now Bacteria) and TBPC (Tri-Base Pelletized Carbon) as the bio media.

My tank was running for about a month before I recieved the products and my ammonia, nitrite and nitrate readings were 0.05, 0.25, 20.0 respectively (still cycling).

After building and setting up my own carbon tubes and modifying my plumbing on the tank (my canister filter is now used as a mechanical filter before the water enters the tubes), 24 hours had passed I tested the water again and ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels were all zero.  6 weeks later, all levels are still undetectable by my tests. Now the only water changes I do is once a month substrate cleanings which usually takes about 5 gallons.  This is amazing stuff, I would recommend it to anyone starting a tank.

Hiatt Distributors Limited claims that when starting a new tank, if the proper amount of TBPC is used in conjunction with the RN Bacteria, the tank will cycle in 24 hours.  I couldn't wait to set up my new tank so I can't vouch for this, but from my experience with this stuff I believe them. My system was easy to build and plumb and is easy to maintain with no worry of having to reduce nitrates by water changes.
