Guide Review - Kent Marine Bare Bones TFC R.O.

The Bare Bones R.O. unit is just that: a basic R.O. unit with a TFC membrane, preceded by an IFCE inline carbon/sediment pre filter. It will remove 90 to 98% of tap water contaminants. There are a number of industrial chemicals which it will not remove efficiently as the higher priced, more complex R.O. units will handle. The waste to product ratio is 4 to 1 and : Iron, Calcium, Magnesium, Heavy Sediment will clog or damage the membrane, as with any R.O. unit. If you are looking for an inexpensive, basic R.O. unit that is easy to use and does a pretty good job of cleaning up your tap water, this unit might be for you. It is also available in the Hi-S series if you have a lot of silicates in your water which you wish to remove.
