Aquarium Systems' Maxi-Jet series powerheads have gained an excellent reputation in the hobby for their durability. There are not very many reasonably priced powerheads which can take the constant on/off abuse of being used with a wavemaking device, but these do. There is an easily removed venturi aeration/flow adjustment device with each unit, and they can be used to add power to almost any UGF set up, increasing the efficiency of the filter.
