Tank Set Up Information
  • Tank Specs
    • Tenacor 105 gallon Flat Back Hexagonal Acrylic.
    • Tank size: 48 x 24 x 24.
  • Lighting
    • 2 Custom Sea Life Power Compact units with 4 - 96 watt bulbs: 2 actinic and 2 daylight.
  • Filtration & Tank Set Up

  • It is completely self contained. There is no sump and all equipment is located in the oversized overflow in the rear. The overflow extends into the tank viewing area 7". In the overflow is a Mag 7 return pump, 4 Maxijet 1200s, an Ebo Jaegar heater, and a Turbofloater 1000 Skimmer powered by a RIO 2100 and also a RIO 600 secondary feed pump. There are 3 catepillar adjustable returns, 1 located near the top of the tank, in the middle, and 2 others located at different levels lower down. The MAG 7 returns 700 GPH constantly to the highest return. The 4 maxijets are run on a Red Sea Pro Wavemaker. Kalkwasser is used for all makeup water, kalkwasser is held in a 15 gallon rubbermaid container located under the tank in cabinet. Kalk is fed to tank using a Spectrepure Liter Meter. Tank contains 100 pounds of Fiji Live Rock and 100 pounds of Live Sand.
  • Inhabitants
    • Corals: 1 Torch, 1 Frogspawn, Blastomusa wellsi, Acropora, Montipora, Capricornis, Xenia, Button Polyps, Candycane, Green Open Brain, Sea Mat, and various Mushrooms.
    • Fish: 1 Yellow Tang, 1 Purple Tang, 2 Tank Raised Ocellaris Clownfishes, 1 Marine Betta, 1 Flame Hawk, 1 False Gramma.
    • Invertebrates & Crustaceans: 1 Cleaner Shrimp, 1 Blood Shrimp, 2 Peppermint Shrimp, 2 Cucumbers, 2 Brittlestars, 1 White Starfish, various Scarlet and Blue Hermit Crabs, 1 Sally Lightfoot Crab, Astrea and Trochus Snails.
    • Clams: 2 large Purple T. Maxima Clams, 1 medium Blue & Gold T. Crocea.
