Peppermint Shrimp
Most aquarists consider the Aiptasia Anemone to be an unwanted pest in their aquariums. Once Aiptasia gain a foothold in your tank, they can be tough to get rid of. Here is a short course on what Aiptasia are, where they come from and methods (i.e. Peppermint Shrimp) for getting rid of them.

Hi,

I have string algae. My phosphate level is zero. the algae is damaging my gorgonians and I would like very much to get rid of it. Any suggestions?

I also have a suggestion. With all of the aquarium stores hurting from the recession I suggest a weekly “Store In Trouble” section on your wonderful newsletter. This section would give the name address and phone number of one of the stores in our community that is having trouble. The posting would also include a brief description about the store.
That way the readers could buy things from the store and help it to stay in business. It would also help your readers to finding new or different aquarium stores.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Mark Bryan

My Peppermint Shrimp refuse to touch Aiptasia. in my tank the only wat to get rid of them is to use commercial products.

I believe the correction is hyposalinity and not hypsanility.
