DIY Seahorse Tank
Seahorses are amazing little (some as small as 1") animals which can actually do quite well in an aquarium. This terrific (12" X 12" X 20" high) DIY 12g Seahorse Tank costs less than $30 for the glass and takes less than an hour to build. You can build a Seahorse Tank any size that you wish, by simply adjusting the dimensions of the tank and following the easy-to-follow instructions. The photos in the Top Seahorse Photo Gallery show you some of the Seahorses you raise in your new tank.

Lined Seahorse
You might not be able to find a Plucked Chicken Pygmy Seahorse or a Gorgonian Pygmy Seahorse at your LFS, but tank raised (they are already adapted to aquarium life) Lined Seahorses and Brazilian Seahorses are fairly easy to find.
You can even put a mated pair of Seahorses in one of these tanks and see what it is like to breed and raise your own.
